Hi, I'm Yoohan Ko.

I'm an AV System Design Engineer with a background in software engineering who found a passion for audio-visual technology through hands-on work in live production, broadcast infrastructure, and networked AV systems. What began as managing technical operations at a church gradually evolved into a deeper interest in the engineering behind AV systems—how they're designed, integrated, and scaled to support real-world environments.

Before transitioning into AV full-time, I worked in software engineering and cloud infrastructure. That foundation shapes how I approach AV today. As the industry moves toward IP-based audio, AV-over-IP video, and software-defined control systems, I think about AV environments the same way engineers think about distributed systems: architecture matters, networks matter, and reliability matters.

Today, I work on enterprise AV deployments across corporate environments including executive boardrooms, divisible meeting spaces, and collaboration spaces. My work involves commissioning control systems, deploying networked audio and DSP platforms, and designing AV network topologies that support scalable, resilient systems. I enjoy the intersection of AV, networking, and infrastructure—where AV becomes part of a larger technical ecosystem rather than a standalone installation.

I'm particularly interested in building AV environments that are both technically elegant and operationally reliable at scale. That includes everything from system architecture and commissioning to troubleshooting complex integrations between AV systems, networks, and collaboration platforms.

Whether I'm bringing a Dante network online, tuning a system with SMAART, deploying AV across VLAN-segmented networks, or helping teams operate complex spaces, I enjoy solving technical problems and building systems that people can rely on every day.
